Being the retail, garden centre branch of Coles Nurseries, the UK’s largest grower of trees and shrubs, Coles Plant Centre has access to the entire nursery stock, meaning a selection of over two million shrubs and one million trees are available at short notice.
Expert staff are always on hand to offer advice on plant selection, planting and aftercare, and would be more than happy to spend a bit of time showing you around the garden centre discussing your requirements. A delivery service is operated within a forty mile radius of the garden centre in Leicester.
The company was created in 1913 when James Coles first purchased an eight acre plot of land in Evington, Leicester. Coles Plant Centre was first opened as a retail shop on London Road, Leicester, in 1933. It later moved first to Oadby and next to its current site in Thurnby, where it has remained since 1982.

A plant ordering service is also operated, giving customers the opportunity to order plants not stocked at the Plant Centre. This service generally has a very rapid turnaround time, as most plants are grown on the Nursery within a twenty mile radius.
